Law Enforcement & Transparency Policy

AdAvoid DNS has no user accounts or normal user-identifying DNS query logs in this version. Because the resolver does not normally retain user-identifying DNS logs, AdAvoid generally cannot identify a user from historical DNS activity.

Legal requests must be reviewed before we respond. We provide only data we have and are legally required to provide.

Where legally possible, we resist, narrow, or document requests to add DNS blocks outside the published filtering purpose. We do not silently add censorship-oriented blocks to Default or Unfiltered mode.

If emergency or legally required action changes filtering behavior, we document the change internally and, where legally allowed, disclose it publicly.

AdAvoid may add periodic transparency reporting if request volume grows. Until then, this page defines the public handling stance.
