AdAvoid DNS Policy

Law Enforcement & Transparency Policy

How AdAvoid DNS handles legal requests, censorship pressure, and transparency for a resolver with no user accounts.

Last updated: April 28, 2026

No Account Records

AdAvoid DNS has no user accounts or normal user-identifying DNS query logs in this version. Because the resolver does not normally retain user-identifying DNS logs, AdAvoid generally cannot identify a user from historical DNS activity.

Legal Requests

Legal requests must be reviewed before response. AdAvoid should provide only data it has and is legally required to provide.

Blocking and Censorship Requests

Requests to add DNS blocks outside the published filtering purpose should be resisted, narrowed, or documented where legally possible. AdAvoid should not silently add censorship-oriented blocks to Default or Unfiltered mode.

Emergency Actions

If emergency or legally required action changes filtering behavior, the change should be documented internally and, where legally allowed, disclosed publicly.

Transparency Reporting

AdAvoid may add periodic transparency reporting if request volume grows. Until then, this page defines the public handling stance.
